These are the things that need to be done for the next distributions:

- IMPORTANT: configure.in should detect whether the tiff/jpeg/mpeg
libraries are installed and thus decide whether the corresponding
plug-ins should be built or not.

- Include these plug-ins - why they were not included:

mpeg (Adam Moss) - Requires mpeglib. This really needs proper
handling of non-existent file-format libraries by autoconf.

MapSphere / MapPlane / LIC / Lighting Effects (Tom Bech) - Tom is getting
these ready for inclusion in the next release. They *would* be ready for
0.99.11, but there are some Gck (yes, Gck, not Gtk) issues to be
  resolved.

  riffl (Kim-Minh Kaplan) - This plug-in has a semi-complex directory
structure, including an IFF library. This should be well-integrated
  into the Gimp's automake/autoconf structure.

- Maybe begin including some of Adrian's documentation?
